We are a cottage food registered home bakery specializing in sourdough breads.


Relocating from the East Bay Area, we are a local favorite excited to bring SF style sourdough to the Ukiah Valley.

Artisan Loaves - Pre Slicing available $1 per Loaf(sandwich Slices)

Simply Sourdough. Naturally Leavened. Our loaves are a large 900g/28oz (prebake) and always made fresh to order.

Rustic Loaf

A classic loaf of sourdough goodness. We blend of a variety of flours to create a depth of flavor and an irresistible light and chewy bite not found in store bought bread. Our flour blend varies week to week pending what variety of organic wheat berries we have in stock from local CA farms.

Utilizing locally sourced wheat berries grown right here in CA, we mill our own flour for this unique loaf of whole wheat bread. A flavorful experience, packed full of everything white bread isn't. *due to the nature of whole wheat flours, expect a heavier, hearty loaf.*

Always a brunch favorite. Made with sourdough goodness.

Sourdough English Muffins, great toasted with your favorite spread or as a sandwich bread. Available in 6 or 12 packs. *Freeze great!

Sweet treats to complete your order. Baked Fresh to order. Contains Sourdough

Chocolate Chip

Big, Chewy, and Melty. Caramelized butter and a balanced blend of  Ghirardelli milk, semi-sweet, and dark chocolate chips.  Available 6 or 12 count.

Peanut Butter

Large, soft peanut butter cookies. Made with browned butter and sourdough, and rolled in white sugar, these cookies are a perfect balance between salty and sweet.

Our Philosophy

At Knead It Bread Co. we believe in simple done right. We start with minimally processed ingredients that have been sourced as locally as possible. We add our passion, set our aim for perfection, and present you with a product that speaks for itself. 

We knead it, you need it.

Our Heritage

Having always been passionate about food, Danielle doubled down on inspiration and motivation when she became a mom of twins. The desire to be a present, nutrition conscious parent is her driving force in the pride she takes in her work. Wanting to provide a cleaner alternative to a daily meal staple, she developed her micro-bakery, Knead It Bread Co.

Our Process

Starting with whole ingredients, each loaf is made to order with the utmost care and attention. Ingredients are carefully selected and prepared. Our sourdough starter meticulously maintained. Our loaves under go an 18+ hour cold fermentation process to provide the best possible flavor and texture. The extended fermentation process allows our culture to break down simple starches and reduce glycemic impact, and improve digestibility. Your order is always baked fresh.
